Online Backup 6.0 has dramatically improved these features. The Online Backup client software now has an option to enable remote management. If enabled, a system administrator can remotely create backup tasks on an employee’s computer; he can also manage the task, or monitor the task’s status and progress information. Thus, admins will no longer have to rely on their employees to ensure that the files have been backed up.

The cloud service industry has quickly become a commodity market. The competition is extremely fierce, especially in the consumer service side. In the last few years, companies like Dropbox and Box are trying to shift their focus toward the enterprise customers. However, neither Dropbox nor Box has a real backup solution.
