Shiraz at 7wks old: see what we mean by beautiful? Those gorgeous eyes concealed a real bundle of energy, into everything and keen to learn. | Little kittens soon grow up though! At just 4 months old she's begining to look like a proper cat |
And very soon she was out in the garden, playing hide-and-seek amongst the greenery. | Flashlight had an amazing effect on her light grey fur, turning it steely blue. Set off by luminous yellow eyes and swathed in orange she featured in, of all places, "The People's Friend" magazine! |
By the time we get to 2 years old she's very definitely a cat and not a kitten. However, inquisitive as ever, she still loved to tunnel into anything be it paper bags or piles of bedclothes. Water was also a fascination, chasing toes in the bath and drinking out of the most unsuitable sources: often the bird-bath! | Although she had a Persian name, perhaps there was a bit of Egyptian in her as well! The "Sphinx" pose was one she made her own, particularly when pretending to guard the vegetables. |
And so she grew into a beautiful young cat, with a thick silky coat, a rumbling purr and a loving disposition. As detailed on the main page, her time with us would be cut short but we loved every minute of it - not bad for a "free gift"! |
