A very young Sherpa - just 4 months old in August 1979 - tucking in on the doorstep of Gable Cottage
| Splodge and a now somewhat older Sherpa keeping warm in the living room of Gable Cottage |

Splodge sitting on our side garden wall at Bridge House - very early 80's. The hedge-lines visible in the background have grown up very considerably since this picture was taken!
| Sherpa also moved with us of course, and liked to keep his distinctive green eyes on the world from his vantage point on the window sill |
|
Still life with cat. Sherpa practises being a table decoration

Sherpa glowing brown while soaking up some sun
| And in a contemplative mood at 12yrs old |

Simba takes his first steps into the big outside world - spring 1984
| He grew up to be a really friendly, lap-sitting kind of cat with a wonderful purr |
|
Simba wonders whether this chase is quite such a good idea
|
| |
Staring out of the window continued to be a popular catty occupation!
| Simba could definitely have a serious side though - here at 7yrs old in 1991 |

The settee was also a favourite vantage point for Jasper the foster cat. Note the white blaze on his chest - the only way of telling him apart from Sable! | Jasper looking suitably intelligent. And so he should: when with us he was in monthly email communication with his true owners! |
