This is an old, build AMT kit
which I bought at an auction some time ago. I know from the owner
that it is an old kit so I presume it's probably one of the AMT Ford
promotion kits which came in the box with the green stripes.
I had plans to use the model for another conversion, but when I
received
the model it had a beautiful patina. The dust it gathered over the
years was so life-like that I simply couldn't brake it apart for
parts. So I kept it as I received it. I informed the owner about
this and he said that he was glad that he didn't cleaned the kit too
well before shipping it. He got rid of the heavy dust, but decided
to leave the rest as it was. I'm glad he did! Ofcourse I did send
hem some pictures of the diorama I set up and he was very pleased to
see that his old kit got a decent home.
The only thing I added was a
license plate at the front. And a lot of tools! The car needed some
work to get it safely on the road after all those years in a barn.
