Is there a FAQ that defines the different multi level permissions for sharing?  For instance, I would like someone to be able to have repeated access to download files from my Public Folder.  What permission level would that be?

Thank you--

There are two kinds of sharing on DriveHQ.com: one is regular sharing, where you share files / folders to certain people; the other is publishing, where you let anybody to download your published files without logon.

Now if you want to share folders to different people with different levels of access rights, it is strongly recommended using "Group Account" service. You can easily share folders to different people with different levels of access rights. You can set the assess rights when you are creating a new share; you can also edit an existing share. If you need to share one folder with two different people with different levels of access rights, you can share the folder twice, with the second time using a different Share Name

If you want anybody to download your shared files, please use Publish. Published files/folders can be accessed using static "Publish URLs" and can be linked from any other websites / web pages.

Other users can downlaod your shared files using DriveHQ FileManager 4.0 client software. FileManager 4.0 works like Windows Explorer and supports drag-and-drop and many other features. It is strongly recommended using FileManager.

Thank you for your reply.  Perhaps I wasn't clear enough but my question was about defining the different levels of access that appears in the  DriveHQ File Manager Share a folder window.  The third field is "permission", and within that pull down menu are the choices:
large view only
original view only
view comment & rate
comment and rate
upload/add
full access

Is there an explanation defining these levels of permission choices?

Thank you-

I see. An explanation is below:

large view only: This permission only applies to photos. It means the "share-to" users can view large preview size images (600x600), but not the original images if the original resolution is higher.

original view only: This means read-only.

view comment & rate: This means read-only to the files and comments & ratings.

comment and rate: This means read-only to the file, plus comment & rate to the file.

upload/add: Upload more files into the folder;

full access: Add/Edit/Delete/Comment & Rate. All access.
