NASA collected the names of up to 1million people for inclusion on a CD to be taken to the surface of Mars by the Polar Lander. This (authentic!) certificate shows that I was among them. Rather a pity that it didn't soft-land, but no doubt the CD got there even if it was in pieces!
The project was primarily aimed at school-children, so the text refers to "staying in school and studying hard". I'm afraid I'm a bit old for the former now, but do intend to keep studying - the technological world moves so fast, you can't afford not to!
